Re: Best Dead AUDs? |
I'm sure there are many but one I've been hooked on lately is 09/01/79 Rochester, NY. The sound gets very good halfway through the opener(1/2 Step), a really lively Franklin's, tight Me&My Uncle, and the MOST smokin' Big River I have EVER heard, FOTD, Rain, Don't Ease(pretty good actually), Lost Sailor>Saint. Then Set II. . .
This taper is my hero. When you crank it, it feels like the band and the audience is in the living room.
Might as well DL it!

Re: Best Dead AUDs? |
The 9-1-79 aud is an example of one show where the aud is, in many respects, better than the SBD. The SBD 1st set sounds as id the source tape is dragging, and the mix in the aud is awesome. To me the highlight is the Scarlet > Fire, just a great jam where the band really takes it's time developing the transition.
